REPLACEMENT CRANE TRACK DECK CRANE
MIT has completely replaced the crane track of a travelling Bailey deck crane on a dredger. The crane track was also assembled with new toothed racks supplied by MIT.
The racks and the crane track of the mid-80s were in urgent need of replacement. MIT has produced 30 rack elements according to the original design. During a docking of the ship in Dubai the entire existing crane track was removed and replaced with new crane track beams under the supervision of MIT. Thereafter, the newly delivered toothed racks were fitted on the crane track along the entire length.
