E-RENOVATION FOR TOWER CRANE
MIT replaced the entire electrical installation of a Bailey tower crane of the late ’50s. This made the crane, which after some minor changes still was in very good condition, again up to date according to today’s standards. Since the crane structure still functioned fine, a new crane would have been a disproportionate investment.
Now MIT has revived this crane through a complete replacement of the electrical installation. Including the necessary engineering, supply and installation of controllers, the motors, adding a load measuring system and of course an emergency stop circuit. All completed and fully executed within 5 weeks, living up to the current standards.
