TUMBLE ARM MADE FOR DREDGING SHIP CRANE
Completely according to the original specifications, a tumble arm for a Bailey deck crane aboard a dredger was made and delivered.
During work on this tumble arm crane in the port of Suape, Brazil, the poor state of the boom had been noticed and the maximum allowed tonnage of the crane had been temporarily decreased. In consultation with the customer and based on the original drawings, MIT reproduced a whole new complete arm with its shafts, its bushings and a modified lubrication system.
The arm was delivered completely conserved and packed for sea transportation to Brazil. After arrival there, MIT will mount the tumble arm, in order for the crane to lift its maximum tonnage again.
