TRAVELLING UNDERFRAME FOR SHIP LOADER
MIT was approached by one of its business contacts for the realization of a travelling underframe for a ship loader arm. For the specific application of the loader arm it had to be placed on a self-propelled under frame.
Based on an existing example MIT together with 2 partners has taken care of the design and calculation, and then for the production and delivery of the under frame. Two 2 travelling drive lines, a powered cord reel, two rail clamps and staircases, handrails and landings were provided. All components were built together, preserved and assembled and then delivered integrated with the loader arm.
